From Wuhan to Seoul: Sytai Showcases Eco Friendly Food Packaging at IFS Autumn Show 2026
SEOUL, October 22, 2026 — Sytai joined the IFS Autumn Show at COEX Hall C this week, presenting its eco friendly food packaging range to franchise headquarters, coffee chains and food service buyers gathered in Seoul for Korea's largest franchise exhibition.

The line-up centred on three products: water-based coated paper cups, PLA compostable food containers and kraft paper bags. All three were selected for the same reason — they already meet the compliance bar that Korea and the European Union are now setting.
The EU PPWR entered into full force in August 2026 with binding targets for recyclability and recycled content, while Korea's comprehensive de-plastic measures itemise single-use cup fees on receipts and apply eco-design standards to takeaway containers.

That shift was visible at the booth. Buyers returned to the same three questions: whether the coating is genuinely compostable, whether the product passes food-contact testing, and whether large volumes can ship on a stable schedule.
"Behind one food container is a whole compliance system," the Sytai team noted, as visitors examined PLA boxes and asked about custom MOQs and lead times.

Sytai has focused on food packaging for 20 years, with more than 5 billion units of annual capacity, distribution to over 100 countries and FSC, FDA and ISO 14001 certification. A full biodegradable material system, flexible scheduling and documented compliance let the company support different markets with one package: material selection, structural design and mass production.
